Tagua Sheep pendant
These tagua animals are each hand-carved from a single tagua nut; a seed from a type of palm that grows in the South American rainforest. Often known as vegetable ivory, tagua nuts are an environmentally friendly and sustainable alternative to ivory and plastic. Hung on an antique brass chain, they make for unique jewellery.
4.5cm x 2 cm
Hand carved from tagua by fair trade artisans Ronald, Carlos and Darwin who live in a coastal region of Ecuador.
