Recycled Coffee Sack Duffel Bag
Fabulous
We are very proud of our selection of bags made from waste materials such as inner tubes, lorry curtains and recycled leather fragments. This particular bag gives a fair trade spin on the traditional duffel bag. Made from a double layer of recycled coffee sacks it has an inner tube base and top flap to protect against the worst of the weather and the rope handles can be worn together over the shoulder or split to make a backpack. And to counter all that practicality each one is lined with stunning wax-printed 100% cotton "Chitenge” fabric. This combination makes every bag unique.
Dimensions: Lenght 50cm x Width 25cm

Fair
These bags are made in the Chilomoni Township in Malawi, providing training and employment to the skilled tailors and using the profits to fund a children's centre. The old inner tubes and coffee sacks are shipped to Malawi in the same containers as donated bikes that are refurbished for use by the local community. The upcycling of these waste materials saves them from going into landfill, making them a great sustainable product.
They are brought to us by Cycle of Good who, like us, are members of BAFTS Fair Trade Network UK.
