Fair Trade Washable Wired Face Mask - Recycled Sari Material
These non-medical face coverings are an attractive alternative to single use masks. The outer layer is made from disinfected recycled saris which are a mix of cotton and polyester, while the inner layer next to your skin is 100% handwoven cotton. They have a filter pocket which can be filled with a folded layer of tissue paper or kitchen roll. They also have wire across the top to form around your nose and face and elastic ear loops. They are medium sized and come in a range of attractive assorted colours and patterns.
The mask should be washed with soap and water before each use and air dried or ironed for sanitation. When using a filter please replace it every four hours and do not touch the mask from the front when removing it.
Please remember that the use of face masks is not intended to replace other recommended measures to stop the spread of COVID-19, such as social distancing, washing your hands or refraining fromtouching your face.
Please also note that this item is not eligible for return or exchange
These masks are made by Selyn who are a WFTO (World Fair Trade Organisation) accredited factory in Sri Lanka. The production process follows guaranteed Fair Trade standards and the factory has been cleared by the local authorities for compliance under Covid-19 preventative measures. They are being produced as part of a Fair Trade solidarity project designed to provide an income to producer groups who are currently deprived of regular work due to the Coronavirus crisis.
Buying one of these masks provides the artisans with a lifeline and wearing one protects others and helps reduce the spread of the virus, especially if worn in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain.
