Sometimes on wet West Wales days it seems impossible to believe sunny days at the beach will ever be a thing.  But when the time comes it's best to be ready with one of these amazing fair trade Zahira throws. Made from discarded plastic bottles they are surprisingly soft while still having amazing practical features such as being machine washable, quick-drying, resistant to dust mites and UV and stain resistant. But as well as being super useful, they are also very stylish with their subtle colours and masses of retro fringing. We can't wait to take one on a swimming trip or camping or a picnic in the park. 100% PET Yarn made from recycled plastic bottles

Dimensions: 125 x 150cm

Care instructions:  surface cleaning PET yarn with a damp cloth is recommended to maintain it in the best condition. Where a machine wash is required, accessories are available from major retailers to prevent shed fibres from entering the drainage system. Use a liquid detergent on a short, cool setting without fabric conditioner. Do not bleach, avoid vigorous spin cycles, hang to drip dry and reshape whilst damp. Tumble dry on low heat setting and use a moderately warm iron if required.

The extraordinary material used to make these throws reuses plastic waste already in circulation. Each throw uses approximately 200 - 300 bottles. Our supplier Namaste and their suppliers both contribute a percentage of the value of the throws purchased to GoodWeave which then goes back into the communities where the throws are made. Namaste is a well-established Fair Trade supplier who also contributes to the charity Child Rescue Nepal.
