With its friendly jack o lanterns interspersed with felt leaves, this fair trade and handmade Halloween bunting is all treats and no tricks!

This 100% sheep wool bunting has been made by Hatale (which means ‘made by hand’ in Napali), a fantastic WFTO group established in 2000 and based in the foothills of Kathmandu. The factory employs over 300 people, mostly women from nearby villages. Through Fair Trade, they are developing traditional Nepali craft in order to improve the living standard of the artisans and their families. The bunting is brought to us by Paper High, who, like us, are members of BAFTS Fair Trade Network UK.

In addition to this, one of the most truly scary things about Halloween is the amount of mass-produced plastic toys sold. Buying a long-lasting, sustainably sourced, plastic-free decoration helps to take some of the horror out of this season!
