Mithila Terracotta Mini Dishes
Fabulous
Small dishes are so handy for storing things like jewellery, keys or spare change. These vibrant fair trade and handmade terracotta mini dishes are very attractive and bright enough to not get easily lost. They are decorated in a traditional style known as Mithila after the region it originates from. This distinctive style uses a variety of implements such as brushes, sticks, nib pens, matchsticks and fingers to create colourful designs depicting images from nature.
As these dishes are handpainted, designs and colours will vary. If you have a particular preference then please let us know when you order and we will do our best to help!
Dimensions: 9cm diameter.
Fair
These mini dishes are handmade by fair trade artisans in a small workshop employing five women in Nepal. They are brought to us by Siesta, who have been working for more than 35 years to build up business relationships with artisans from all around the world that are based on mutual respect and trust rather than on exploitation. Like many of our suppliers (and ourselves), they are members of BAFTS Fair Trade Network UK.
