Each bag is packed by women from the Ukama Community Foundation, which supplies and equips informal creches to run feeding schemes for over 200 children per day in Vrygrond, Western Cape. And the bag containing the Beer Biscuits is created and handcrafted by the women of Deaf Hands at Work, which provides a platform for Hard of Hearing and Deaf individuals to launch their careers. The bags are also reusable.
The Beer Biscuits are brought to us in the UK by JTS, who are guaranteed members of WFTO, the World Fair Trade Organisation.
