Aura Que Banana Yarn Unisex Scarf
Are you looking for a beautiful scarf that is unisex and has colours that suit a range of seasons? Well, look no further than these vegan-friendly scarves made from, believe it or not, banana fibre. The fibre is made from waste foliage from banana plants and is handwoven to make these cosy and warm fair trade scarves, which get softer the more they are worn. They come in four gorgeous colourways and can be paired with matching or contrasting bags, wristwarmers - or even a mug.
Dimensions: L195cm x W35cm
Machine washable on cool. Do not tumble dry.
These unisex scarves are made from a waste product caused when the banana plants have to be cut back each year to ensure next years growth. So using it to make these products is sustainable and provides the farmers with an extra income. The scarves are made in a workshop in Nepal that provides flexible working conditions for the women artisans so that they can earn a fair wage around their family commitments. They are brought to us by Aura Que, who, like us, are members of BAFTS the UK Fair Trade Network.
