Upcycled Inner Tube Purse

We have been stocking men's upcycled tyre wallets for some time now, but are glad to be able to add options designed for women. This fair trade upcycled inner tube purse has plenty of pockets for cards and notes, as well as a zip pocket for coins. The fact that these eco-friendly purses are made from upcycled tyres makes them very strong and flexible, meaning that they will keep their shape however much they are used. The tread of the tyres also provides a really interesting texture and the peacock blue trim and stitching gives a stylish accent to the design.

These wallets are made by Smart Crafts, a small group of artisans in Cambodia who mainly work from their homes and focus on employing victims of landmines and polio. They are brought to us by Lost in Samsara who, like us, are members of BAFTS Fair Trade Network UK.

The upcycling of old tyres saves these waste materials from going into landfill, so they are a great sustainable product. Also, the use of these recycled materials provides a fantastic vegan alternative to leather wallets.
